Shall I Tell Him Or Are You Gonna?

"It has a mature internal filter with several fish inside"

Wouldn't the fish find it a bit cramped all stuffed in the filter!

Numbnuts

Selling due to change of job?

Packing sardines maybe?

ohhh, from bridlington, seller will be selling due to possible addiction maybe

oh thats awful, poor fish, i feel guilty having my clown loaches in a 4ft! they would get out of the tank and murder me with their bare fins if i pulled a stunt like that :(

hi i was looking at your listing, and as an avid fishkeeper i feel it only fair to inform you that this is a totally unsuitable setup, none of the fish you have listed are suited to this size tank, definatly not the angels, loaches or sharks, they would need a min tank size of 4ft,and it certainley wouldnt be suited to a beginner,as a very small tank would be difficult to maintain, this size tank would maybe just about be ok for a solitary betta, but then i would check that first too, maybe your local fish shop would take the fish off your hands to ensure they suitably re-homed,as i dread to think the interested from maybe a youngster in this set-up and it will all end awfully,as a hobby fishkeeping is growing very fast, but unfortunatly those that"grab a bargain " off ebay are sometimes placing impulse bids, and do so without doing any research into the fish or the hobby, i would for one, be over the moon if you were to consider my advice, regards shelagh

sent this i hope it helps him change his mind about this being a beautiful setup:(

In total theres over £300 worth of fish when i bought the aquarium and now alot have developed so its worth alot more!Theres plenty of ocean rock inside the tank for hiding places. Also there is a undergravel filter as well as a internal filter system in place. Both filtration systems are well mature.A powerful air pump is also included. Also there is a 3d rock effect background in place giving the finishing touches! Also included is a juwel 300watt heater. This aquarium is fully up and running and the fish are very healthy! This is a complete bargain but tank must go.Unfortunately pick up only due to weight and size of tank a suitable van/car will be required.Feel free to look before buying but first to see will buy!Feel free to ask questions or ring me on 07967815266."

This is shocking. Ocean rock as well, isn't that just for marines??

He can't mean live rock because that can't survive in fresh water. I hope he's not trying to keep those fish in salt water anyway!

I can't believe they're still alive. The photo of that Malawi tank is shocking. How can the fish move without whacking into each other? There are far too many fish in there!

no, ocean rock (also known as tufa) can be for malawi too, its high in calcium so it raises the pH and hardness which malawi cichlids like
It's different to live rock tho, that IS only for marines
you are meant to overstock malawi to reduce aggression, but 30 is way overstocked in a Rio 180 tho, you could just about squeeze 20 in with a lot (ie 10x/hr ) of filtration
