Sexing Guppy Fry Help Please!!!

I have 26 fry’s that have made it to 3 weeks and 4 days old and I’ve been doing research and from what I’m finding is they can be sexed at 3-4 weeks old but besides videos that don’t really help me. how do I know who’s male and who’s female? Any thoughts or advice please 3 days of researching and I’m finding the same stuff just worded differently

Look at the anal fin. With male fry, the first ray will start to elongate and then the rest of the fin will shrink until it has become a gonopodium. As soon as you see a fry with a longer first ray, you know it's a male.

I doubt you will be able to sex them at this age. When they become sexually mature, you will see the difference in the anal fin, but most livebearers are not sexually mature until 2 or 3 months old. And that is if they are fed well and looked after. The average guppy kept at home doesn't reach sexual maturity until 3 months or longer.

You can look at the tail and if it is brightly coloured it will probably be a male.

You can watch their behaviour and young males will try to breed with everything in the tank.

Thank you for the information guys. It’s greatly appreciated. I do have some fry that I can tell they are females because of the gravid spot that I just noticed on some of them this morning

Generally once they reach over 3/4 of an inch they should start developing signs of which gender, but sometimes it can take some time longer. Some are slow to develop.

After reading the article I do have quite a bit that have color and some that don’t but one of the female that I spotted with the gravid spot has some black and some color in her tail. It seems my females were pregnant already when I bought them because my girls have been kept in my all female guppy tank and hasn’t been paired with a male. I wasn’t looking to breed or have babies lol But I’m glad they had them they are cute
