[stonedcamel]

ok, this is my first time of uploading a picture onto this forum also, so please be patient with me.

i bought 2 german rams yesterday and im pretty sure they are male and female but would like to make sure if you could please

[Truck]

i think the first one is a young female

[fifefish]

looks like a female to me do you have a picture of both of them together?

[stonedcamel]

ok.... pics are loaded.... yay i did it lol

[Truck]

1st one male, third young female

[stonedcamel]

thats what i thought.... maybe just a very young female!

[smegforbrains]

The left is a male German Blue Ram, the one on the right is a female Golden Ram.

[stonedcamel]

oh.... a golden ram!! i wasnt sure about her.... would it be worth while swapping for a blue

[Truck]

The left is a male German Blue Ram, the one on the right is a female Golden Ram.

gold rams are german blues, they have the same scientific name but are a different colour strain

[stonedcamel]

oh.... a golden ram!! i wasnt sure about her.... would it be worth while swapping for a blue

[Truck]

it is a german blue, its just got a golden tinge to it, its a different strain

[stonedcamel]

oh right, thats good news then.... when picking them i was sure i had one of each but had slight doubt in my mind. they spending much time swimming together but its sweet when they do come together with her behaviour

thankyou very much, def a male and young female

[stonedcamel]

saying she is a golden ram.... she has a hint of blue on her sides but i noticed no speckles on her tail like the male....

this make much difference between them

[Truck]

no they are exactly the same species
