Sex of Dwarf Gouramis

Well spotted. I foolishly assumed that whoever made that image would use fish of the same species

That picture shows a male Dwarf Gourami on the right and an Indian Gourami on the left. That’s why it’s confusing.

@Oli, Your first picture is a male Dwarf Gourami. Females of the natural form do not have red and blue stripes. Your 2nd picture is a female that looks to be in a bad way. Your last picture shows a male and female.

You're right only is the Indian one on the right hahahaa. T.fasciata.

The blue DG's are the problem. That is the only type in which maes and females look a like (in color : both can be blue and shape)

Okay guys, I finally have some good quality pictures of all 3 fish, let’s see if we can get a definitive ID!

Like I said, these were sold to me as 2 female and 1 male Blue Dwarf Gouramis!

Female blue, female blue, male non-blue (standard variety).

DD the DG is on the right !
It is on my phone anyway.
