I was under the impression that male honey gouramis were bright yellow with dark bellys but so far these gouramis have not displayed any dark colouring. Would I need to buy a couple of females to encourage the colouration in the males. I think females are light grey with a dark horizontal stripe, or could the ones in my picture actually be female? I have 3 honey gouramis in total that all look the same.
