setteling my new discus of varing sizes in to 120g tank ive been preparing forever when can i do a 25%water change i netted them out of bag into tank this afternoon after slowly adding tank water to bag over 30-45mins ive got light off and havent fed them they seam very lively not sulking at all will it be ok to feed in morning and water change?i kno i sound like a paniking parent I AM in sure i wasnt this nervous when i had my kids

I dont have any discus but my mother has LOTS! What size are they?

If they are still juveniles feed them alot so they can get big, but in order to keep from fouling the water you need to do lots of water changes. I would say 20% every onther day.

If they are adults, feed them like normal and do your weekly wter change of 20%

They should be fine in the morning. Offer them a small piece of food and see if they are interested. If they are, feed more. If they are lively and eating by then, you should be fine for a water change. I remember it took a while for my Discus to get settled, they would get quite jumpy when I did water changes for the first few weeks. Try not to bring the siphon too close to them and don't make any sudden movements (outside and inside the tank.)

I have mixed sized Discus too. I do a water change everyday (20 percent) and feed them 3 times a day. My smallest guys are about 4".
