Previously I mentioned that I was planning on setting up a 5 gallon tank for one of my Bettas. Well, I just set it up today. Here is a picture of it

Nice! Although, the Java Fern and Anubias in there prefer not to be planted entirely. They will die if the rhizome is under the gravel, try pulling them up a little bit.

They aren't planted all the way. Just looks that way ;)

Nice looking tank!

I do recommend getting a heater and internal thermometer so that you can keep the water temperature at least 78F.  It might also be worth it to cover the back of the tank to keep the possible stress level lower (unless you have a white background already on it and I am totally missing it).

Have you picked out a betta yet?

Nice tank. I would also add some floating plants. Water Sprite (Ceratopteris thalictroides) and or some Riccia Fluitans. My Betta loves her floating Riccia mat.
