MYXAZIN is quite a good broad spectrum treatment but i'm not sure it will be good enough to fight the septicemia.
Has the fish been isolated? Septicemia is very contagious and IMO very hard to cure once it has taken effect.

For now the only thing i can recommend is to make sure the water parameters are all correct and to continue treating as often as instructed,
(Also check to see if Myxazin is ok with scaless fish)

Hopefully someone can give you more info soon

I have used Furan-2 (made by API) and have found it to be very successful in treating Hemmoragic Septicemia. I have had two situations with septicemia and this worked great for both!

no the fish is still in the tank with 4 others and 2 guppies and a siamese, besides the fact that i dont have an empty tank, if they are to get it wont they be showing signs by now, we are about 4 days in ( 3 on treatment) his tail is not looking as bad as it was imo, but it just maybe moving about??

how long does treatment for this condition usually take to get a grip?

does anyone know a food that is antibiotic, just read that that would be good for him, but i will need to know what to ask for,, i am in the uk

I've been using interpet no 9 anti internal bacteria. This was recommended to me by wilder.

Aquarium Treatment - No 9 Anti Internal Bacteria 100ml
Aquarium Treatment - No 9 Anti Internal Bacteria 100ml. Advanced formula aquarium treatment complete with handy measuring cap and pipette. Also comprehensive, easy to follow guide to fish health. Cures bacterial gillrot, dropsy and ulcers.
Evidence of internal bacterial infection is red streaks to the fins and red patches or blotches on the body of the fish. Can be very hard to treat and this is one of the few chemicals on the market which attempts a cure.

Worth a try to save your prize specimen or that family friend. 100ml treats 500 litres (110 gallons.)

Good luck.

well hes had his last treatment today,so i guess its fingers crossed, but as i said yesterday he is looking a lot more perky, how long would if be untill i can safely assume hes fine now???

I would still treat the fish another full week to make sure the bad bacteria gone.
