See-thru Guppy

Any idea how these were bred? It is more than just the albino gene, isn't it?

That is a very interesting pair of guppies you have. They are not my cup of tea but very interesting nonetheless.

I have no idea how you could breed for this. My best guess is that it was a random mutation originally. A breeder, must of noticed the fish and was able to create a strain from it. The fish look like they are lacking skin pigments as well as being albino. This is all just guessing though.

Here are the note's i can get from the owner

I finally got around to photographing my new See-Thru strain. You can see why I call it "See-Thru." You can see the major blood vessel travelling along the spine, the blood-filled gills, the heart, all the internal organs. I call it See-Thru, but the blood red color tempts me to call it "Blood Red." Maybe "Guppy Anatomy Lesson?" I'll be doing a Design Lab article on how I created it. Drop a note on the forum to let me know what you think.

Those red balls you see in the female's belly are a batch of fry about to drop. You can barely see the eyes on some of them.

The amazing thing about these fish were how active and healthy they are. I thought a guppy with this many mutations would be infertile and fragile. Not the case! I had to shoot like crazy to get a good photo of them they moved so fast.
