Hi all,

its my first day on here and already all this fish talk has pushed my addiction into planing a second tank.

The fish i am planning to have are

1 snowball Pleco
6 Denisoni Barbs (2 coming from my existing tank)
12 Penquin Tetras
2 -3 feathered claw shimp or blue lobster
any tips on nice fish that will complement these suggestions a well as what size tank would be sutible.

Also with this new tank i want to use real plants as my existing tank has plastic plants an look slightly un-natural any tips on good but easy care plants.

Fish list looks good :) But I would avoid the claw shrimp and lobsters as they can attack fish and damage their fins or skin. As for tank size, how big can you go? The bigger the better? I would say 4 foot x 18 inches at least :)

i was thinking a 4 foot or more tank issue i have is i still live at home so its a matter of convincing my parents to let me take over another room

 weve all been there could you not try and get a racking system? So you have one tank on top and one underneath? They work pretty well usually

Thats a great idea hadn't thought of that one i can,t see my mum complaining at that as long as she can keep the rest of the house.
