instead of buying a screwcumber to feed veggies to plecs etc could you just get a normal corkscrew, take out the metal bit and then put that in the tank? (if it was filed down to its not sharp)

I've got some driftwood that has many nooks and crannies and i just wedge it with no problems. You could also get one of those suckers for the heater/filter etc and wedge one on there.
