Sometimes Right, Sometimes Wrong but ALWAYS certai
Hi, a little message for all the people that are starting out in fishkeeping or maybe setting up a second or third tank!
Take a few minutes to really decide on your substrate choice. It's a humble piece of equipment which is FAR less interesting than say... fish but equally as important to research!
It's a bit like tyres on your new car, not as exciting as a spoiler, an exhust pipe trim or a really bassy stereo
But it is, none the less, a very important bit of kit!
So, before you grab that bag of purple gravel, or the cheapest sack of road chippings STOP and think!
Changing to sand later on is a really big job (or visa-versa) and becoming a question on these forums more and more.
Having just changed my big tank from black quartz (
) to sand I do know first hand what I am talking about!
