Sand And Plant Substrates

matty, as a fellow reefer, you should know better than to listen to the wpg rule lol. If you have high light you should get CO2 ferts etc, if you have low light you dont need to.
 
reef and freshwater plants are different, the wpg is just to reference you to if you have high or low lighting thats all.
 
no i wasnt refering to the simularities of the plants/corals, i was just saying how almost all marine keepers HATE the WPG rule since it is a bunch of bull. Its PAR and lumens, very expensive to get a tester for these but thats what plants use. A 60 watt incandescent makes the same light as a 11-14 watt Pc does

Marine tanks dont have "plants" most of the time (is there such thing as a marine plant?)
