Sand And Air Stones....

Just want to ask a silly queation...

Can you still put an air stone under sand like you do gravel?? Or will it blow the sand everywhere?

Yeah, doensn't work well, I have mine on a flat bit or rock as stated, then lay that on the sand, i have small pebbles covering the sirstone then so it is hidden. Looks good

my small airstone when i first installed it didn create a sandstorm per-se...but it did put sand on top of everything near the stone (top of plant leaves and bogwood,filter strainer etc)
So what ive done is put the stone behind a terracotta pot a few cm above the sand (not on top of anything in particular, just hovering there clear of the sand) and covered the airline with small pebbles ..so there
