Salt is not helping

I'm coming in outta left field and I'm not the great and powerful Oz (@Colin_T), [No one gets in to see the wizzard, not now way, not no how] ....but I don't think salt is the answer to fish gasping for air at the surface. I'm equally uncertain about spraying Fabrez in a room...but salt doesn't help that either (although Mollies tollerate salt well and are often found in brackish waters).
I'm thinking either there's too little oxygen or there's an ammonia spike, or perhaps contaminants from the spray?
I'd test for ammonia, likely do a 50-75water change with dechlorinated water and/or increase surface turbulence for a better O2/CO2 gas exchange.

I have Interpet internal filter in my 60L and when I increase aeration, my fish get spooked by higher water flow in the water and when I have tested for ammonia/ammonium, its 0ppm according to my JBL liquid test, and so is nitrite.
What about the skinniness in my my molly and how do I treat internal problems in fish?

Best thing is to drop an airstone in for aeration and surface turbulence rather than cranking up your filter. I've put airstone in my betta tanks because of the heat and they seem to enjoy it, as I type this I'm watching one of my dumbo females repeatedly swim through the bubbles. I agree completely with @AbbeysDad

Mollies being skinny suggests some sort of internal parasite of some sort. Which needs diagnosing unless theres a one type fix all medicine. Is this not what you've been treating with help from @essjay ? I'm not sure @Colin_T salt advice was for treating gasping at the surface or internal illness

I got eSHa 2000, and it will arrive next week, but before I put in, a fish in cycle in my 33 gallon and another days of treating my livebearers with salt awaits ;)
For the airstone, I have a very extremly loud airpump so I don't know :/

Fish in cycle is daily 75% W/C and minimal feeding, once every two days. I'm sure other members will have better methods, but that's what has always worked for me. I also transfer cycled media into the filter, even put media or gravel in mesh and sit it in the tank. Just test your water lots and waterchange until ammonia is at 0. And it's either put up with a bit of racket from a pump or suffocate your fish. I'd put up with the noise personally. Always try the simple stuff before going for medication. It could be as simple as they need more oxygen in the tank and big water changes rather than chemicals pumped into them

I have two little white sponges that have some bacteria on, I have used those ones for cycling my betta tank which was instant.
I'm pretty sure that my fish are ill, they weren't before I put in my first molly from Pets at Home.
So I should use the air pump despite of the noise it makes? It is supposed not to, but never mind lol.

Use gravel, sponges, biomedia from a cycled tank to cycle yours faster. I'd never say its instant and would still advise more frequent waterchanges, but it certainly cycles extremely fast!

In future, if you're going to buy fish, I would recommend setting up atleast a box as a quarentine tank to avoid infecting your existing fish, especially when you buy from pets at home. For example, I popped in there monday (i think) and saw a bag of female bettas floating in the tank and 4 of them caught my eye. I asked an employee about their availability and his words were "we've only just had them delivered, they won't be on sale til tomorrow." Sure enough, after work, the next day, I walked in there and bought the 4 I wanted. They were not quarantined for even 24 hours. They're currently in quarantine that I'm doing myself, in my bedroom, in a box. If I'd added them to my sorority and they had anything, I'd be in a biiiiig mess.

Put up with the pump, its cruel not to, ya'know?

No one has yet asked about the GH and pH, both of which are critical issues for molly health. It is not mentioned in the earlier thread either, I just checked. Do you know the GH and pH?
