I keep being given shirts with the manufacturer's name in big letters on them. A member of the extended family buys them for everyone., but he doesn't show up except at xmas so he isn't offended by my disinterest. I never wear them as I'm not a billboard either. Those companies should pay me if they want me to wander about with their ads on. But I also won't wear obvious designer clothing and try to stay resolutely off label. Those are petty show off things, and a person who wants to be defined by what they spend or acquire (if it isn't a fish) isn't someone I want to know.
