when i first started going to my lfs i thought they were kind of rude but the more i went there they became nicer.it could be all the money i've spent or all the baby mollies and swordtails i've given them in the last 2 years.

Yes it is worth the trip, i went a while ago and walked away with a reed fish which now i never see,hes around 12-15inches and yet i never see him,i always give in and lift the slate only to find him swim out 
i know there better in groups but have not found any more
