I was wondering because when i did some research on the "Red Tail Black Shark" i got alot of conflicting information about the behavior and agression... in my tank i currently have a Iridescent shark(4inches), Dojo loach(7 inches), dwark gorami (2 inches), and a un identifyable minnow of some sort (3 inches). i've seen that the RTBS can be really agressive and teritiorial when it comes to other fish, bbut then i saw on another site that it was only a threat to it's own kind and others would not be bothered by it.... i confused. does anyone have any knowledge with these fish...?

more accurately, it depends on the tank size.

PS--you've heard the bad news about the iridescent shark's maximum size, right?

rule of thumb
if it has shark as part of the common name then you should only have one speciamine per tank.
the exception that proves the rule is sliver/bala sharks which are schooling fish

ok. thanks alot guys. And yes i know about the max size of a iridescent..... although i didn't when i bought it. ugh i hate walmart. they had it posted for 6 inches. then i read 3 ft..... but i have read on lots of sites that they will only grow 3 ft under perfect "Wild" conditions and most in tanks won't exceed 1 ft. but thanks for the consern anyway. i guess i wont't get a RTBS then. thanks again
