I had been buying rosey barbs as target/feeder fish for my growing blue acaras.
I'm not really into fish like barbs and tetras and I tended to call the trash/rubbish
fish. ( I like american cichlids, bristlenoses, loaches, corydoras and labrynth fishies )
But now after having rosey barbs for about a month in my new 3 foot community setup I find
myself enjoying their antics around the tank. They are still quite small and are more golden
in colour and it seems they have become savvy of the much larger acaras, outsmarting them and
staying off the menu.
They swim all over the tank, sometimes in schools, sometimes exploring as individuals. I can't
wait until the males start to show their colouring.
My verdict.... nontrash fish, an active, fun to watch addition to an aquarium.
