Hey guys, I got a few rocks from my river/stream near my house, We don't really live near a city so our streams are pretty clean.

Anyway, I've cleaned them up, Poured boiling water over them and done a vinegar test with no fizzy stuff or anything like that. There all round and grey/black ish, No strange or our of place colours.

With all that, do you think its safe to put in the fish tank? I've seen local people do it before with no effect, Maybe a slight rise of PH but thats typical of rocks.

I have used some beautiful Scottish rock before, it was stunning. Someone will be along in a minute to tell you not to use boiling water (bit of a broken record) but I've never lost any eyes or limbs yet.

Not to "boil rocks", Pouring it over rocks is safe I believe?

Pouring boiling water over them is safe, and yes. I think they will be just fine tech :D

Pretty! I think using stuff from actual nature is always better than store bought..... just my opinion.

Ehh, I only did it as a "Needed a cave for my shark". I normally like buying store stuff but it always eats into your funds :(

So - you have a spray bar and then one of those jet thingys to push the water down the tank? Interesting.
