 sorry about all these RO threads lately but i need your help with this one.

All i'm trying to do is pull out the tubing from the RO unit so i can cut it a little shorter. I've tried everything, Plyers, fork, knife and pulling it as hard as i can but the tubing won't budge.

How do they expect us to take it apart if you have to be the world's strongest man to do it? Is the an easy way to get this stuff off?

lol i would've PM'd chac but i think he's a bit sick of the RO now

Cheers
Dan

It depends what connectors you have. It sounds like the polystyrene (sp) quick fittings to me though so here goes. They are like chinese finger traps, the harder you pull the more the tubing bites into the connector. this way once the water pressure i turned on they seal. The trick is to push in on the tubing, then hold the collar, then pull the tubing out.

See you and this bloody RO unit danny boy - just use tap water for christ sake

Nah as Crazy says the fittings use on most RO units are Polyprop Compression Fittings which you need to pull the collar of the coupling back which opens a poly olive inside the coupling and releases the tubing

:good: Saying that the only reason I know is because I sell these buy the million

Good luck

 I'm using LFS RO Water these days  Got myself 7gallons a couple of days ago. OMG The beauty of it, no worries just go down LFS and watch fish while waiting 5mins for some water. Sounds a little better thank try and get bloody multi tap connector without water spraying everywhere, flooded floor, popped kitchen bulbs and leaking roof

Going to get a garden tap installed whenever i can afford it (need a part time job :() and be done with this whole RO BS :D

The tip works a treat although while waiting for a reply i got P****d off and snapped one of the little so and so's. Can't wait to get garden tap in :)

Cheers both of you :)
