I recently contracted one of my breeders and he is willfully trade some of bluefin killifish for a Rivulus marmoratus. Now what I should to know about Rivulus marmoratus (I forget their new name)? And how many tablespoon of sea salt to make the tank brackish? (I have 5gal) but I could get 8gal critter keeper for it. The rivulus will arriving in 2 weeks later along with the Gold Heterandria formosa.

Hi Butch,
Never actually got round to keeping this species of rivulin yet, so I cant really give you much personal information on the species
Take a look at the link below, I think you'll find all you need in that.

Just how much salt I should add to 8 gallon tank? The killifish only need 1.010 and I really have no idea how many salt add to the tank. Tablespoon, cups, etc?

Hi Butch,
I have been looking through some literature on the above topic. Some breeders recommend 2 tablespoons of marine salt per gallon or another guy suggested 1 tablespoon of marine salt and 1 tablespoon of Iodized tablesalt per gallon (added Iodine) As I have never kept the species before, I cannot offer any personal experiences, but what I would say is contact the seller/breeder and ask him/her what are the water stats they were reared in, and take it from there. Always acclimatize the fish slowly over a couple of hours or longer. Above all, a reduced waterline with floating plants and most importantly a tight fitting coverglass is essential.
