Keep an eye out it looks pretty bad. What you are treating with is fine for the moment, but it it gets any worse or you start to notice any white growth around it, then you will need to switch onto some stronger medications.
Water changes are a must in this case. More then the regular weekly w/c should be done!

Thats just what the company recommends but as long as you are only replacing the medication you are removing, you are fine.
If he starts to get sick there are stronger medications that can be used, as someone said Marcyn is good (never used it as it's only available in the UK.) You could also try Neoplex, Kanaplex (recommend this one), Paraguard, Polyguard or Sulfathiazole (all by Seachem.) Remember though, Mela/Primafix are pretty mild.
