TBH, the tank was never going to be big enough for a salvini and Jd, (nevermind the convict aswell), so in reality the death of one should have been expected,
The suggested tanksize for a JD alone is 45G so my personal opinion would be to keep it, with the pleco that is already living with it and then maybe add 5-7 Giant Danios

well if i keep it with the plecs with the jd get rid of the female con and add my male from my other tank would that be ok just realising that i cant part with my JD i will just have to keep trying different thinsg with him and train him to eat.

also if i remove the male from my breeding pair will the female still do a good job looking after her fry ?

there is no harm in trying the Con with the JD, if a female con is fine with the JD i don't see why a Males shouldn't be,
the other female will be fine on her own

goood well my mate has some rocks he is giving me so i can make some territory so that may diffuse some aggression if there was to be any .. go to think i was considering getting rid of my baby

I had a solo male JD for a few years one of best fish I ever had, hit like a ton of bricks when I fed him shrimp out of my hand, if the JD has already had a go at other fish I wouldn't be surprised if your JD and con have a go at each other with or without the rocks in there, the other thing to doing a tank up so that there are different territories is that you have to take the JD out of there for a bit I would honestly say about a day or two while you re do the tankscape and then both con and JD have to go in at the same time.

well i dont have anywhere to put the JD but i am going to take him out today and re-scape the tank with some rocks my mate gave me yday then add him and the male convict in at the same time so will be like entering a new tank for both of them

right i took my little female back today and re-scaped my tank with rock caves and left half if the ship in but put it on thw other side of my tank and introdiced the jd nd male con they have been in for 10-15 mins and are flaring off at each other which i expected so just have to wait and see how it goes

well its too much for me he has just torn a bit of my cons fins so i took him and put him back in with the female and fry ...ah well looks like its jacko and the plecs for that tank ah well i dont mind he is a stunna can tell he is a male dut to the ultra aggression
