Hi guys.
Im planning a new tank which i plan on keeping LPS corals in though I cant remember how much flow I need through the tank. What is general rule for flow through a reef tank?
Also what is the recommended amount of overturn delivered from a return pump in reef tanks as im going to need a new return pump too?
thanks

Ideally you want about 15-20x turn over in total. This includes powerheads and the return pump. LPS corals like much less flow than other corals, so just make sure they are only in gentle flow areas. As for the return pump, what size tank is this going to be? Personally, my tank is having 10x flow from the pump and then the other 10x are coming from powerheads.

Ok thanks.
The tank is going to be in the 60-70 gallon range I think, so i'll be looking at around 975 - 1300 gp(H) ? It is per hour we're talking about here right? :p
