Restarted Fish Tank Thoughts And Ideas.

hi, i just restarted my tropical fish tank after many years of mis treating on my behalf. i now started my new fish tank (which i think is between 100-175 gallons) it looks pretty good and all the fish seem happy, i was just looking for peoples ideas and thoughts about the fish i keep in the tank heres the list:

pleco aglae eater, 60 neon tetras, 20 glo-light tetras- 4 blind cave fish, 1 black ghost knife, 5 honey/gold gouramis, 2 dwarf gouramis, 6 corydoras, 6 swordtails, 5 platys, 1 unkown (looks like a Swordtail but grey), 25 guppies,

the tank has already cycled by the way.
any ideas for new fish and/or plants are welcome, i would love to see other peoples thoughts thankyou.

It would be helpful to know what the actual dimensions/capacity of the tank is because theres a pretty big difference between 100 gallons and 175 gallons!

How big is your ghost knife? I'd be pretty worried about it eating your smaller fish, particularly the cories, and they're know for sucking the eyes out of other fish too, particularly bottom dwellers :

What;s the sex of your gouramis? They're another potential problem, have you noticed any fighting?

Your swordtails and your platies will interbreed and produce a lot of babies so be prepared for that.

Blind cave tetras in particular are thought to be pretty nippy, as are most tetras, so I'd keep an eye on your guppies fins.

hi i just used the calculator (very helpful) and it turns out my tank is 125 gallons,
i have had my gouramis before i restarted my tank, there were no issues and there are no issues now either.
my guppies seem to be doin extremely well, though i have noticed that one of them has had her fin nipped a bit, but its healing.
i didnt think that the black ghost knife would be a problem, it just seems to sit behind the filter all day. and my cousins got almost exactly the same fish and there doing fine

Hard to get an exact read on the color of that female swordtail with the lighting there, but maybe a Green Wag Swordtail.

The angel could eat the neons if he/she gets bigger as that is their natural behaviour to do so. Just keep an eye on them. Would add more sand and add plants or more decor for this fish take use as cover.

Would recommend getting rid of the BGK...Will eat neons and suck your corys eyes out. I had one in with corys and blamed my rams for taking the corys eyes out and killing them, but it was the BGK all along! I used to love those fish now I hate the stinking things...so get rid of it lol. Also noticed my neon numbers dropping by one each day (although my pictus catfish had something to say about that as well). Also, they do get to 1ft in size once fully grown so eating of the neons will be the last of your problem.
