Replenishing food source

I have a 20 gallon tank that was given to me, and I plan on turning it into a breeder tank of some sort. I want to breed a fish that grows fast, and reproduces often so that I can use the fry to feed my cichlids and rope fish. How should I set this up, and what species do you reccommend using?

convicts. Just add water and you won't be able to stop them.

Add a flowerpot turned on it's side.

I'd add some small dithers also.

20 gallon should be big enough for guppy fry to stay alive hehe.. may require some assistance though.
