Replacement Hose For Fluval Filter

I am buying a 2nd hand 305 off a member here and, bless her, she forgot the inlet hose.

Had a quick peek online to see how much a replacement one is, but stumbled across a few forums that had people changing them on principle (didn't like the ribbed style, couldn't look down it to see if its clogged etc)

Has anyone on here swapped a fluval filter hose for any other make? is it worth it? (or is it cheaper?!)

i am sure the old straight
fluval filter hose can still
be used on them you will have
to look about to find the right
size

remember the old black fluvals
i think they use 17mm hose
i used to run a load of them
and i used them on them on one
of the new gray blue or silver
type fluvals that are out now
just rang a mate of mine the old
305 fluval hose will fit on the new
fluval 305

you can use any hose you like it doesnt have to be fluval the eheim is good heres a link to the hose you need

I just upgraded my 305 hoses with jbl 17mm pipe and it fits perfect
