I thought that, they really do stick on! But I have my tank @ 30c and it seemed easier to take it off so try blowing it with a hairdryer or something to loosen the glue up.

+1 On a stanley blade, you'll struggle to scratch glass with a stanley.

There's 2 on my tank, front and side - i find they make the tank look smaller too

Mine was already on the tank...i got it second hand. What I did notice is how terribly innacurate the one on my tank is. Its reading 5 degrees higher than two different thermometers. Are all of them like that? or is this one just a bad one?

Both of mine are next to each other on corner of the glass, front and right side. They both read differently even though they're pretty much on the same section of water - they do also read a little higher then the digital one inside my tank too.

The one on my 55g seems to be about right though lol.

I took one off the front of my tank with a Stanley knife blade, just a loose one held flat against the glass, never left any scratches at all.

Vinegar dissolves the glue , simply wipe away with damp cloth .....easy.

I watched paycheck and got to work with the Stanley blade last night and it's off - i dont think i scratched anything.
