My daughter and I are new to fishkeeping, she's had her tank running for a couple of months and we're now getting Algae in the gravel in the tank - what's the best method for cleaning this?
I was thinking of scooping out some of the gravel and cleaning in some water from the tank at the next water change - maybe put in a tin and give it a shake to clean it off ....and just add this gradual gravel cleaning to the maintenance rota.
Any other ideas would be most welcome though!
