I totally forgot. (I feel so stupid). I had a pleco like 6 month ago that I rehomed. S/he loved cucumber. What I did (or remember doing at least lol) is I cut of a slice , put it in a plate in the microwave for 30 seconds on high and then plopped it in and it sunk. I did the exact same thing twice now and it's floating. Thanks so much. (for now I stuck it in-between a crevice of wood)

I always used a stainless steel fork. Speared the slice of cucumber and dropped it in. As far as I know, there's no harm in using method!

Ill stab it onto a suction cup onto the glass or on the driftwood.

Zucchini sinks way easier after a minute of being put in the microwave

Im doing that right now.

Ok. But I dont really like it and it would go bad if I just got it for one fish. What color do you usually use?

I usually get green and buy the smallest one at the store since im only feeding 2 farlows and snails with it.

I use a teaspoon.

Slice the whole cucumber or courgette/zucchini, use one slice and freeze the rest on an open tray, then bag them when frozen. Thaw them before putting in the tank - the frozen slices won't need blanching.
