So in a previous thread debating from pump to reverse siphon I went to a lowes in search of plumbing.
1x 22ft 3/4" inter diameter clear tubing @ .33 cents per ft = roughly $6 with discount
1x Sink>Garden adapter = roughly $5 with discount
1x 16ft Marine Safe drinking hose = roughly $12 with discount
1x gravel siphon = already owned
1x eletrical tape = already owned; use if needed to attach tubing to siphon if not snug.
$23 and I had epic success. I ran the 22ft clear tubing which attached directly to my gravel siphon out the window, yeahhhh no buckets!!!! You can use shorter but thats up to your layout. Then I attacked the sink adapter and hose, ran for few minutes(clear new hose of any debris or dust) and checked temperature of water and then turned it off and put it in the tank with a Fritos lay clamp to endure no crazyness. Turning it back on and adding tap conditioner periodically. Turned sink off, disconnected and moved all parts holding any open tube end up/up to prevent water in hoses from leaking; pitched out window to porch.
No water on carpet, no water on me, no buckets!!!!! We have solar screens so i had an extra step of unlatching but for not carrying 5 gallon buckets ill take the two latches (10 seconds).
Maybe next time ill do a video so all can see the tactful and crazyness of a drax jerry rig. Next time will take me about 5 minutes to move 30-40% from a 55G and 10G. On the 10g i had to use smaller siphon which i ran the tubing into the larger siphon(flipped upside down) again using clip to hold smaller tube in larger siphon. This allowed me to reuse same tubing out the window without any extra steps minus clipping it to the other.

. I know up north its about 500-1500 and having a basement would be AWESOME. Personally, I wouldn't be moving 55Gallon if I had a basement; more like 550. Luckily this setup worked for me and saved me a ton.
