My Red Wag Tail platy has recently *only saw it in the past 5 hours * It has a small blotch next to the gill area that is white clear film and sticks out a little bit. I couldn't find any pictures with fish with this type of symptom. My Yoyo loach has been chasing this platy and rubbing its head on the platies head near the vacinity of this clear film could it be a injury or something worse?

~Side Note~
If a fish has white stringy feces Occasionally does that mean disease?
also if its white stringy but with chunks of regular feces does that mean disease or something else?

ANyone???

If anyone has any reply that is a definate diagnoses please msg me privately so I don't lose this forum in the clutter

I also had this on my ZigZag eel and it was a injury it got at the petshop due to not having sand but gravel. Its slowly going away as far as I can see...just keep an good eye on it.

As for the poop I noticed my fish poop was less white and stringy after giving more differemt tipes of food but could be something ells....

The gills does it look fluffy or a mucas build up, any signs of flicking and rubbing against objects, any laboured breathing.
White stringy poo can be constipation so what do you feed the fish, i would try some shelled peas, internal bacteria infection, also can be internal parasites, check the anus to see if it looks enlarged or red and inflamed.
