hi all its beeen a while. :)

I have just purchased a 5 ft tank. it has come with some fish.

i did have a 3ft tank. with two glass catfish. a moonlight gourami and a pearl lace gourami.

my new fish are three silver dollars
two black/blue striped chiliards.
and one 4 yr old red devil.

all the fish are living peacfully in the one tank.

except the red devil, which i havent added yet.

My question is.. will he kill my small fish?

and..
I'm also looking to get a simanse fighting fish to go in the tank to and a few more gouramis

the tank is 5ft and has two 30cm each, ships. for small fish to hide in and four floor caves and some driftwood.
thankyou :)

First of, PLEASE no betta, especially in a tank with gouramis and other aggressive fish. I;d also be careful with adding more gouramis because they are known to fight amongst themselves. I'm not a cichlid person but I'd wager that the red devil is a big risk with regards to fighting and eating things.

+1 :D

I've had some mean as **** red devils and some wimps, but the name says it all, personally would not risk a red devil with anything other then other aggressive fish, or at least fish that can stick up for themselves.

hm, my red devil is pale pink. and 4 yrs old. he mainly likes to hide. but chases the big blue and black chiliards :/ atm i have him in his own tank.

I was origanally planning to have peacful fish.
but the chiliards came with the tank, and they are all pretty, i like them all i can sell them or give them away but if there is a way id love to keep them all :/

Hello, as stated Red devils can be one of two, However, In a five foot tank, i would exspect to see the Devil own the tank, obviously you could be lucky and they all get along, depends if you want to risk this,,
When you say "big blue and black chiliards" what do you mean, Cichlids im guessing but you will need to get a latin name so we can help you 100% Because im thinking blue and black maybe "Pseudotropheus demasoni" "Cyphotilapia frontosa <Zaire blue"

If you dont know there latin name and cannot find it on a search, post a picture, we will try to id all :good:
Notice i said try
