Red Cherry Shrimp

Is there a minimum amount of Red Cherry Shrimp that you can have?
I read that 10 shrimp per gallon, but what is the minimum group they should be kept in? A group of 10 or even less, like just a pair?

The more the merrier really. 10 is a good number. Below that you won't see too many of them, and they probably won't breed too well.
