the middle o' bum**** and you got a purty mouf
So my red belly normally love eating but recently he only wants to sit in his Deco or chase his reflection in the tank.

I have even tried apple and the only way he eats is if i put my hand in the tank which seriously stresses him out its been a while since hes eaten 3-4 days and when i put my arm in the tank since he was so stressed he jumped and nipped my arm. Am i going to have to keep on doing this and will he ever come out of the decoration?

Need more info.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
What do you feed your fish.
Does he look skinny or bloated.

tank size may well be your problem. as others have said in you other thread.

yeah its 55 galllon dont flame for i am running 1 60 gallon filter and one 75

Just one red belly i feed him apple skins or algae tabs 1 a day.

Think you need to do a search on his diet needs.
He needs some frozen foods.

Try him on pellets, lettuce, courgette chunks, peas, sliced grape and small cherry tomatoes and as a treat mealworms, sliced prawn and earthworms
Also add some live plants to the tank and see if he will eat these

he has been eating live plant he loves to uproot them and chew them but i havent found a uprooted plant for a while now nor any leaves missing andi have pellets but he is still just a baby and can't eat them.

I know this is probaly a retarded Q to ask but can he eat earthworms from outside? i mean i guess he shouldn't right Pesticides and what not?

surly a, varied, veg diet and the odd cricket/worm, would be a descent for it? i read, flake goes down well too.

I would give him a few more peas to flush him through.
When did you last see him go to the toilet, he might be bloated due to constipation.

Only thing I know about earth worms is not to feed them if you have used pesticides in the garden.
Plus it puts me off having to cuts them up into small peices.
