Red Algae?

i have just found some red algae on my synthetic log in my tank, its basically like normal hair algae...but red

should i be worried? what should i do?

Just algae. No worries.

If it bothers you take the log out and give it a scrub, but otherwise, it's harmless.

I didn't know there was freshwater red hair algae.

it will be black brush algae (except its red lol), if you have a high kH/ hard water then it can get bicarbonates from the water and use it as a source of CO2. it is caused by poor CO2 and/ or poor circulation. Take a look at the algae guide in my sig.
