Well My Cories in My 10 have contracted some sort of Bacteria infection so My Tetras are in the 55 gallon. The severum and other fish never go near them. You will most likely be ok. Try feeding yur sev lotds of veggies. Everyday b4 i go to school i will drop in a piece of lettuce or something. Mine at green beans but left the skin in. Now i just peel about half the skin off and drop it in./

Update. I decided to go for it and try a Severum. I know the potential for aggression is there so I will be keeping a close eye on him as he gets bigger. He's only 1.75" or so now, smaller than the angel and the kribs. For now, the angel is bossing the kribs around and the angel and kribs are bossing the sev.

I also picked up some serpae tetras. I know they have a rep as fin-nippers, but this angel is not about to let anyone nip on his fins. He's herding them around too, like he does the neons.

Yes, I know the issues that could develop and promise to keep a very close eye out for them!
Good luck with your sev, I'm glad I got mine he swims with my firemouths sometimes too. :) Right now he's swimming on his half of the tank it seems lol. 1.75" is about the size of mine too maybe smaller. My firemouths are probally 2" so they are a little bigger..

Thanks for the advice about the veggies. I've done broccoli before (when I had the rainbowfish and my son wouldn't finish his broccoli at dinner) and they loved it. I'll have to try peas too!
