Woke up to loads of water everywhere. The plastic arm.think its called an overflow pipe. It joins the spray bar to the tubing,has split at the seams. And i cant find one any where. Filter is less than 12months old. And cant send the whole lot back unless i get a replacement first. I'm really fed up.if any one knows where i can get a replacement please let me know.its a tetratec ex 1200

Communication from an online retailer;

Tetra have identified a problem with this range of filters. The hose adaptor unit ball valve spindles can leak water, which then fills up the compartments within the top of the filter and then overflows down the sides of the canister. This leads the customer to think that the main canister seal is leaking, when in fact it is most unlikely.

Tetra have modified the adaptor unit and are fitting it to all new production stock

However, in the meantime, if you experience such a leakage problem with your existing Tetra Tec EX filter, then you are advised to contact Tetra direct on 08700 55 4031 who will be happy to deal with your problem, generally at no cost to you

Is this relevant to you.
Regards
BigC

As BigC says, contact Tetra, they usually dont even quibble and will send replacement parts FOC.

If you give them a call, they will sort it out for you no problems, send you replacement parts, tetra have brilliant cunstoer service in my opinion, one of the best out there I've ever dealt with.

This is their uk telephone number:

08700554031

If they can't help you they should give you the service centre telephone number and they can help you.

Many thanks to all of you that replied. Have tried those numbers and its office times so i'll phone again 2morro. Have siliconed the arm. Still leaked so put loads of some sort of tape round it and a t towel under neath. Have spent most of the weekend trying to get a replacement no one stocks them. Think i'v gone of tetra.

Its gutting having a leak, i had a simialar problem, def worth getting tetratec to replace the valve assembly, a little water goes a long way!
