Today I realised 3 fish missing from my tank.. I looked everywhere no sign thought they can't just go missing then in my head I thought check the intake on the filter quickly scrambled took the filter apart and found 3 platys and 3 fry inside the filter.. luckily all fine! And swimming in what space they had, but I also found a green fly??? Very random but is that a bad sign of anything I just don't understand how it would of even been in the filter

You should install pre filters. Keeps filtering media clean of gunk and fish out. Fish eat stuff that gets hung on the prefilters as well.

That's a lacewing. I have no idea how it got in the filter but it won't harm your fish.

I would also suggest using a coarse prefiltet on the inlet tube. ;-)
