Java fern is known for its adaptabilty and hardiness. It can adapt to lower lighting levels than most plants but thrives in higher lighting levels with the appropiate quantities of CO2 and other nutrients.I thought Java Ferns dont grow in very bright light.
For your info Jimbooo's light is not "very bright" in planted tank terms. Generally speaking one cannot have too much light in a planted tank so long as it is balanced with the requisite amount of nutrients. Even "low-light" plants can be grown successfully in high lighting conditions. In nature the measured level of light intensity far exceeds what most hobbyists can acheive in their tanks.
