Rain Water

I have just set up a new tank with fish (Week Three)I have now discovered that my neighbour has a 120 gall tank collecting rain water off the roof.
Is it safe to use this water? the roof has been exposed to the weather for the last 5 years, so there should be very little leaching of cement from the tiles.
she emptied the tank last summer, it is now full.
I live in SW London and our tap water comes from the treatment plant at Richmond + Croydon the ph is 7.5 8.0.

yep.. pure o2 and other nastys normally not in the water..

at the moment I've got four zebras & two Platys.
planning to get a 2 Bronze Cory,s and a 6 neon's,

tap water is ok.. i even keep young discus in mine..
