R My Cichlids Ok In The Same Tank?

i have ( all young and small) an oscar, a green terror and 2 convict cichlids... in a 50 gallon tank with a lot of deco... will the oscar out grow the tank and are the fish well suited for each other? also have silcoin sand ansd a 350 GPH filter

if u have a male and female convict than there gonna take half the tank for breeding!!!!
convicts will fight fish 3X their size at breeding mode!!!
green terros r really mean fish once they get older i think....
the oscar i think is ok with the rest might fight sometimes tho

tanks not big enough for teh oscar, the GT will beat everyone up when he grows up as will the cons if they breed.

bad choice of fish for your tank i'm afraid, i'd advise you to return them to the store and do some research before you buy anymore fish

U must upgrade tank. AN oscar fish need minimum 75 gal tank. A huge tank.

Presuming that he's fish are small and young. And the current filtration is good. It will take some time for them mature and grow up. However it is true that eventually he will need to get a larger tank, but not for the time being.

You don’t need to be so fixated on tomorrow, live for today! With time the fish will grow and mature, and so would the owner. When they are big enough, I'm sure you will be more then happy to pay the extra to upgrade to a larger aquarium to suite their needs.
No point to do it right now, unless you have the money to blow.

Just because a child will one day grow to be a full grown adult doesn’t mean you have to buy him an adult size shirt right now.

ok ive done the same as this person in everyway....i had a 3ft/18in/12inch tank
my two oscars / 1 sev / 1 green terror / 2 convicts<pair>cons laid eggs and wooo did all hell break lose cons attacking anything that came remotely near and that ment everything in tank was a target....so i had to return the cons
secondly oscars grow at an outstanding rate literally see them grow...and small tanks can stunt there growth which intail means shorter life spans and health problems later on in life for them which is not good.....and it doesnt take long for all the fish to want to dominate then tank<top dog in prision>
so basically i went from getting all them to getting my larger tank in a few months],glad i did because they grew so much since and space to hide if aggro flares up

so iam giving you my exsperience because the ammount of times ive been to change fish at my lfs is unbeleivble and battle scares so take the advice or leave in when i said now ment pretty soon because honest they grow huge quick

no no there fine the dates above are the dates the pics were taken
just showing you not even a year old yet but went for 0.5 inches to 6-7inches now and built aswell<stocky>

I set up the tank so I could have convicts breeding. I also wanted a Green Terror so i got one and i read on how he cantake some pain from the convicts. The oscar i did a little research on but i just bought him to have him basically. So should i Return him now as he is the size as the Green Terror or wait and then Return him? ThANKs!

it would be better to return your oscar now....stunting his growth could be possible...
id be inclined to remove the green terror aswell because seriously convicts are evil when trying for a family
or return one convict leaving you with one of each

well in my mind dont think anything can unless they can get the hell out the way....my green terror didnt stand up to it.....got bashed up as did everything in the tank

Why should it have to? That's like me putting you in a jail cell with some gang members, and waiting until your all bloodied up before I move you to a different one.
