R.i.p Oscar

Unfortunately this morning I awoke to find Oscar my tiger oscar dead. He had been fighting iche for about a fortnight, I had been treating him with Interpet No.6 anti white spot with my temp at 28c. The first day of treatment he seemed to be very sluggish, i put this down to the meds and the temp and added an air stone. It took him a few days to perk up but he did eventually start swimming to the surface and feeding which he had'nt done in about a week, so day four i added the second dose of meds to his tank. He had become alot livelier and i could see the difference in the amount of spots he had. Today would have been the back up dose of meds but they were'nt needed. Anybody any ideas of what may have happened, did i kill him with the water temp or meds? All my water tests have been ok and there was no warning on the meds to say i could'nt use them with Oscar. I will probably never replace Oscar as sad as it sounds he was a great fish!

How old was he?

There might've been something going on inside you couldn't see and couldn't treat. A shame, but you did what you could.

Sorry for your loss.i know how you feel, one of my favorite fish. Popeye died recently, he was a one eyed male Betta who just struggled his whole life. He always seemed to have small ragged fins, he was lethargic, wasn't good with tankmates, got fin rot a lot and just didn't do well. I came home from school one morning and saw him lying on the bottom of his tank, dead. I cried forever and I buried him in a special place
