hi

pretty sure about these but just making sure...

can java moss float?

and am i right in saying java moss does'nt grow roots?

thanks

Yes if not weighed down it will float.

No roots thats Ive seen either.

Java moss moves around the tank freely but it does not float. It will stay near the bottom of the tank unless water flow pushes it up onto or over an obstacle. You can float it easily because it is so near neutral bouyancy. All it takes is tying it to anything that will float and the next thing you know it will stay at the top of the tank.

As previous poster suggested, java moss will eventually end up on the substrate.

I believe Raccia Moss floats but i could be wrong (uncharactoristicaly :hey: )
