Quick Noob Question

Hi i have a tank (rio240) with a tetra ex1200 filter that has been running for about 8 months as a community tank.
i have now sold 99% of the community fish and was thinking of filling with malawi cichlids the question i have is i still have a pair of kribs in it and a pair of german rams do you think i will have any compatability issues mixing cichlids with the current stock?
the tank has sand substrate and about 25kilos of ocean rock in it

The kribs might be ok as they are a bit hardier but the rams will get beat up. Id be inclined to just start out a fresh. Cheers
