Quick Filter Question

would 2 fluval u1 filters be ok in a 3ft tank

anyone? will 2 of these work just as well as a bigger/different one in this size tank?

I think it would be a push its rated for a 45L so thats 90L in total I'm guessing your 3 foot is about 120L+ ?

If you're going to be stocking only very lightly you'd be okay, but if you want a 'normal' sort of stocking, you're going to need something with a bit more 'oomph' to it, tbh.

its my current stocking, i just want to transfer over to a bigger tank to give more swimming and more planting room, i refuse to do another 7mths cycling a new filter so wandered if the 2 i have will do, if not i wont bother changing tanks, too much hassle

You could use them and if you wanted add a bigger filter at the same time over time the new filter would cycle

In that case you'll be fine transferring both fish and filters to the bigger tank at the same time
