Fish Fanatic
Quick question.
In general practice, I feed my fish (dwarf gourami and 2 kooly loaches) 2x a day, small amounts of flake food. The food they dont eat after 3 mins, gets netted out etc. They usually get frozen brine shrimp (I use the cubed packages, and about half a cube) every 3rd day.
Questions:
Should i be netting out the brine shrimp like i do the flake? Because the loaches dont always eat it right away, but by morning its usually gone. I know thats well over the 5 minute food rule.
And Should i only be feeding them once a day, instead of the 2x. The thing im worried about, is that the loaches will starve because i am netting the flake out, but if i dont then i forsee a much higher rate of waste buildup.
And one other quick question, when you guys say you feed a specific fish ____. How do you ensure that that fish gets it if its in a group tank, instead of having all the fish tear at it, until the bottom feeders or whomever doesnt get it?
Sorry for all the little questions, they are just things that i want to make sure i am doing right.
