Looks like every one has already covered your questions. Still do all the research you can as every one has different ways of spawning and ways that work best for them, I for one cant stand spawning in glass tanks (even though i used to) as I find it takes longer for the spawning and is alot more fuss so I chuck my pair into a container with 3inches of water and a bit of blackwater and leave them to it for 3 days, then remove the female and wait till I see free swimming fry. This is after conditioning them next to each other for a week. I haven't finished editing it yet but you can look at the info page on my site just for a different way of spawning www.thebettalady.co.uk...I don't have a beautiful fancy sig like Netty and bronze as i'm a limited company and its not allowed.
Any way its really good to see people doing reseach before diving in. Good luck with it all and keep us informed
