It's a question that I'm trying to answer: Are bamboo posts allowed in the Lake Inle project? These posts look like stilts to village houses. And how big tank should I need to support them?

I've used untreated garden bamboo stakes for decoration before. I seem to remember someone telling me you should scrape out the pith, so I advise doing that. They look rather nice for a while. But mine turned black after several months, so I replaced them with fresh ones.

I don't understand what you mean by asking if they're "allowed." I doubt the World Biotope Authority will raid your house and confiscate them. I'm also not sure what you mean by "how big a tank should I need to support them."
